About Maria
Maria’s work has been featured in 18 magazines across the globe as well as in the UK’s very own Diver, Sport Diver and Wanderlust magazines. Frustrated at having prints done with tails chopped off, or wrapped around the edges, she works to ensure that every single print received is taken care of and delivered with genuine care.
Maria started travelling the world following a passion of whales, sharks and dolphins back in 1997 after two road traffic accidents left her unable to walk for three years. It was her dream to see a whale shark in the wild after watching the TV Programme “The Aquanauts” featuring the Shark Research Institute whilst in hospital.
She gives talks to help raise money for The Shark Trust and The Scuba Trust, and you will find prints on sale to help raise money for The Shark Trust, British Divers Marine Life Rescue, The Marine Conservation Society, Sea Shepherd and The Scuba Trust.
She loves helping guests take beautiful underwater photographs and in the past three years has guests being published in magazines including Diver, London Diver and Sport Diver Magazines, winning prizes both here and abroad and being voted as their favourite photographer on Flickr!
